Our purpose
We help readers understand casual mobile games without confusing visual excitement, store popularity or dramatic advertising language with product quality.
Sources
Platform, developer, pricing-model and feature claims should come first from official store listings, publisher documentation or in-game rules. Secondary reporting may provide context but should not override the named product’s current primary source.
Desk review versus hands-on review
A desk review is based on documented information and is labelled as such. It must not imply that an editor played a specific version or device. A hands-on review records the editor’s real name, game version, device, operating system, region, test date, approximate session length and material purchases.
Scoring
We consider gameplay, mobile experience, visual design, accessibility, transparency and entertainment value. A rating is our judgement, not a measurement of odds, a store-user average or a promise that every reader will have the same experience.
Commercial separation
Payment, affiliate conversion and advertising performance do not change a score. Sponsored content must be labelled before the reader engages with it. Advertisers do not receive silent approval of reviews.
Multiplier and reward claims
We identify the product, base value, trigger, duration, maximum and official rules before describing a multiplier. We do not present theoretical maxima as expected or guaranteed outcomes. Real-money content requires operator, licence, age, geography, payment and responsible-gambling disclosures.
Corrections
Factual errors are corrected promptly. Material corrections state what changed and the date; minor spelling or layout changes need no note. Requests may be sent to candyatlas.editorial.team@gmail.com.
Authors and conflicts
Bylines identify the person responsible for the work. Relevant employment, gifts, travel, access or financial interests are disclosed to the managing editor. Clara Wynn makes the final decision when a conflict could affect coverage.
