1. Scope
This policy applies to Candy Atlas pages, review content, local preference controls and messages prepared through the contact form. It does not govern the games or app stores linked from reviews.
2. Information collected
Candy Atlas has no reader accounts, advertising trackers or behavioural analytics. The contact form prepares an email in the visitor’s own email application. If sent, the owner receives the name, reply address, topic and message chosen by the visitor; the website itself does not store the draft.
3. Technical information
The hosting and security providers may process routine request data needed to deliver and protect the site, including IP address, browser information, requested URL, timestamps and security events. Server logs are retained according to the production host’s operational and security schedule.
4. Purposes and legal basis
Messages are used to answer enquiries, handle corrections, respond to privacy requests and protect the service. Processing is based on the visitor’s request, the owner’s legitimate interests in operating an accurate editorial site, and legal obligations where applicable.
5. Cookies and local storage
No analytics or advertising cookies are set in this build. A future preference choice may be stored locally on the visitor’s device. See Cookie Settings.
6. Sharing
The site does not sell personal information. Contact and technical data may be processed by email, hosting and security providers only as needed to deliver and protect the service, subject to contractual and legal safeguards.
7. Retention and security
General correspondence is normally retained for up to 24 months; correction and legal records may be kept longer when necessary to document a decision or meet an obligation. Production traffic and email should use encrypted transport. No internet service can promise absolute security.
8. Rights

9. Children
Candy Atlas is written for a general audience and does not knowingly collect children’s personal information. Guardians should use platform purchase and family controls for games used by children.
